James Hype and Kim Petras launch 'Drums'

James Hype and Kim Petras give a fresh spin to Justin Timberlake's classic with their new track 'Drums.' Originally conceived in 2019 as an instrumental called 'Everybody Dance,' this collaboration took shape over the years, with input from Hype's dedicated fanbase, the Hypefam. The songwriting aspect had its roots in a few years ago, with contributions from Hype's talented studio associates.

In 2023, Hype and Petras met in LA to craft the version of 'Drums' we hear today, and they were fortunate enough to retain Justin Timberlake's original vocal, making this record exceptionally special.

Kim Petras recently released her debut album 'Feed The Beast' in the summer, featuring tracks like 'Brrr' and 'Alone,' the latter of which includes Nicki Minaj. She also dropped the 7-track EP 'Slut Pop' last February, entirely co-written and co-produced by Dr. Luke.
